The car has more than adequate performance, is economical if you drive it gently and could be described as an ideal car for mixed (urban/long distance) driving. The downsides are: front tyre wear; quite uncomfortable seats; and depreciation (typical of all BMWs). If the 2.0l petrol engine were offered with a manual gearbox, the car would be even better
